About
I'm Brandyn Bayes, a landscape and nature photographer based in the Pacific Northwest. My work focuses on capturing the raw, untamed beauty of wild places — from the moss-draped rainforests of the Olympic Peninsula to the volcanic landscapes of Iceland.
Photography for me is about more than just beautiful imagery. It's about the experience of being fully present in a landscape, feeling the wind and the cold and the silence, and trying to distill that feeling into a single frame. I want my photos to make you feel like you were there.
The Gear
I shoot primarily with a Sony A7R V and a collection of GM lenses. For landscapes, I rely on the 16-35mm f/2.8 GM and the 70-200mm f/2.8 GM II. I always carry a sturdy tripod and a set of graduated ND filters for balancing exposures in high-contrast scenes.
